IVA Drafter

We are an established Insolvency Practice who specialise in helping individuals or couples struggling with unsecured debt; currently handling over 4,500 cases. We are looking to add to our, already very strong, drafting team to help us maintain our status as one of the leading IVA providers in the UK.

As a Drafter, you will be responsible for completing a SIP3 consultation with clients that have been introduced into the business and drafting the subsequent proposal for the consideration of our in-house IPs. You will be expected to manage a caseload of clients and maintain a high level of new cases whilst actively pushing through your active cases in the shortest timeframes.

The individuals we are looking to recruit will have an intricate understanding of IVAs and a provable track record of successfully converting cases to full IVAs. We expect that you will be a professional candidate with a genuine willing to help those in financial distress which is demonstrated through an empathetic demeanour and a confidence in your role.

Salary is dependent on experience and will be discussed on a case-by-case basis upon interview however will be in line with industry standards. This role will include the occasional Saturday where required but will come with a travel allowance where applicable and a generous bonus structure.

Key requirements we expect:

  • A successful working history in successfully completing SIP3 consultations and drafting IVAs. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with 3+ years' experience
  • A detailed knowledge of IVAs including the client journey
  • An assertive yet passionate tone on the phone
  • A desire to help those in need
  • An ability to work well within a team and to support colleagues on complex cases
  • The capacity to work in a high pressured environment whilst maintaining professionalism

  • What to expect in the recruitment process:

    All candidates who we feel meet the job specification will be invited for a job interview in one of our offices with either the HR Manager or a departmental Manager. Second interviews may be offered after this with an Operations Manager. All applicants will be subject to testing and, where necessary, roleplays to determine ability. This is nothing to worry about and will be held away from anyone but the interviewing officer.
